Download

Prerequisites

Project Sanbo requires you to own and have access to:

  • A Wii or Wii U
  • An SD-card with at least 500MB of free space
  • An original Mario Kart Wii game disc
  • The Homebrew Channel
  • Wii version v4.3 (or IOS58 installed manually)

Installation

If you do not currently have the Homebrew Channel installed or do not wish to install it, refer to the installation guide for further support.

Project Sanbo can be installed just like any other Homebrew Channel application. All you need to do is download from the download link below, extract all files to the root of your SD card and then insert your SD card in your Wii. Project Sanbo will pop up in the Homebrew Channel and can be booted from there. If you wish to launch the channel from your Wii Menu instead, you can click 'Install' inside the channel to do so. Note that the channel may freeze for a few seconds. After this you're all set and ready to play Project Sanbo!

Any future versions are automatically checked for by the channel if it's connected to the internet and can also be installed using the 'Update' menu. Note that this can take up to 10 minutes per update. If the update is stuck at a certain point for longer than 5 minutes, there's a chance that it might take a lot longer (up to a hour) or that something went wrong. In that scenario it's the best to redownload the entire pack from this page again.

Downloads

There are three planned Project Sanbo downloads. The main download is the one you'll need for most purposes, as it contains the console version of Sanbo with all features. The main version is also the only version to receive in-channel updates. The 'no tracks' download is the same as the main download, but custom tracks are fully disabled to limit the size of the download package. The Dolphin version is compiled from the open source project and is a version of Sanbo playable in the Dolphin emulator.

Main download: v1.2
No tracks: coming soon!
Dolphin: coming soon!
